Frequently Asked Questions

IV Hydration and IV Vitamin/Nutritional Therapy

  • IV Hydration Therapy involves rapidly replenishing the total body water content in your body.

IV Vitamin/Nutritional therapy involves delivering a unique combination of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and nutrients into your body via an intravenous (IV) infusion, oftentimes called a “drip” since they are given in addition to a large volume of IV fluids.

The micronutrients directly enter your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive and gastrointestinal tracts allowing for up to 100% absorption.

  • IV Hydration Therapy is suitable for anyone older than 18 years old without major health conditions seeking to enhance their general health and wellness.

Call us or drop us a note and we can help find the right infusion for you!

  • Depending on the infusion, you can get an infusion as often as needed up to 2-3 times a week as needed.

Following your first appointment, our staff will provide you with information and discharge instructions about the suitability of repeat infusions.

  • You may experience mild discomfort when the IV is placed. However, our medical staff are trained to minimize the discomfort as much as possible.

  • IV Hydration/Vitamin Therapy is generally very well tolerated with little to no side effects. However, one possible side effects include: redness and irritation at the IV site (thrombophlebitis) and facial flushing/redness. Some clients mention that they are able to “taste” the vitamins, but this is client specific and quickly goes away.

  • IV infusions can be administered in 45 minutes, however, allow for up to 60 minutes to include registration and set up time.

  • Once the IV is placed and the infusion is started, you are free to spend the downtime as you please. You may use your personal cellphone, read, or even close your eyes for a cat nap!

  • After your infusion is completed, our nurse will remove your IV catheter and apply a pressure dressing. We recommend leaving this pressure dressing on for 1 hour following your infusion.

Our nurse will then provide you with after care instructions and a member of our staff will call you -2 days after your infusion to ensure you are experiencing no complications.

  • Generally speaking, there is no advanced preparation needed prior to your infusion with the exception of any infusion containing Toradol.

It is not advised to take any other non-steroidal inflammatory drug or NSAIDS 6-8 hours prior to getting an infusion or injection of Toradol.

  • Signature Vitamin Shots are given intramsucularly or IM. IM shots are injections that are given directly into vein-rich muscles, most commonly in the arm.

From the muscle, the nutrient or medication then absorbs into the bloodstream over time. An IM shot is much faster to receive than an IV infusion since it is less fluid.

  • Allow for 15 minutes to include registration and set up time.
